1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Mylyn Labs (“Mylyn Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information through mylynlabs.com and related public pages (the “Site”), and when you communicate with us about our business.
This policy does not govern personal information that we process on behalf of enterprise clients through client software, development environments, implementations, or professional services. In those contexts, the applicable client agreement, BAA, data processing addendum, and client privacy notices control.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit the Site’s contact form or communicate with us, we may collect your first and last name, business email address, organization, job role, message, and any other information you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically receive technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, interaction events, and diagnostic or security data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies where enabled to operate the Site, remember preferences, understand Site use, improve performance, and protect against misuse. We may use Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage analytics or measurement technologies. The particular tags enabled through that tool may collect identifiers, device and browser information, page views, referral information, and interaction events. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some technologies may affect Site functionality.
3. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and communicate with you;
- evaluate potential client, vendor, partner, and employment relationships;
- provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- understand Site traffic, engagement, and performance;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
- comply with law and enforce our agreements and policies; and
- carry out another purpose disclosed when information is collected or with your consent.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers that support website hosting, content delivery, tag management, analytics, fonts, email delivery, security, and business operations, including Cloudflare, Google, and Resend;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, insurers, and consultants where reasonably necessary;
- authorities or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Site;
- transaction participants in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction; and
- other parties at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly use or disclose personal information from this Site for targeted advertising. Our analytics providers may process identifiers and usage information under their own terms and privacy notices.
5. Healthcare data and HIPAA
The Site is a public business website and is not designed to receive PHI. Do not include patient names, medical details, records, identifiers, or other PHI in contact-form submissions or ordinary email.
Mylyn Labs may act as a business associate when providing contracted services to a healthcare client. Any PHI processed in that role is governed by the applicable written services agreement and BAA, including agreed safeguards, permitted uses, incident obligations, retention, and deletion requirements. Merely visiting the Site or sending a general inquiry does not create a covered entity–business associate relationship.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site and developing business relationships; to take steps at your request before entering a contract; to comply with legal obligations; and, where required, based on your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
7. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, securing the Site, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, why it was collected, and applicable requirements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information where permitted by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not use the Site to send credentials, PHI, trade secrets, or other sensitive information.
9. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a decision concerning a request. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
To submit a request, email contact@mylynlabs.com. Please describe your request and the jurisdiction in which you live. We may need to verify your identity and may deny or limit a request where permitted by law. You may use an authorized agent where applicable, subject to verification of the agent’s authority.
You can limit cookies through browser controls. Because there is not yet a uniform industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site may not respond to them. Where legally required and technically supported, we will process recognized opt-out preference signals.
10. International visitors
Mylyn Labs and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Third-party sites
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing information to them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
